This guide applies to outdoor cameras which require Smartlink connection according to the cameras' quick installation guide.
Several new outdoor wireless camera models connect using Smartlink, however the Smartlink status indicator lights are not in a normal location. If the quick guide on your camera states that your camera uses Smartlink to connect to WiFi but you are having trouble locating the Smartlink status light, please see the below image for clarification:
